Hashimoto's group formally approved as party
OSAKA, Japan - Toru Azuma (far R), an executive of Nippon Ishin no Kai, a political grouping created by Osaka Mayor Toru Hashimoto, submits an application to formally register the group as a political party to an Osaka Prefecture election board official in Osaka on Sept. 28, 2012. The party headquartered in Osaka, whose English name is the Japan Restoration Party, is aiming to win a majority of House of Representatives seats at the next general election to be held within a year.
