Tripartite talks break down

TOKYO, Japan - Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda answers reporters' questions in Tokyo on Oct. 19, 2012, after meeting with Shinzo Abe, leader of the main opposition Liberal Democratic Party, and Natsuo Yamaguchi, head of the LDP's ally New Komeito party. Noda, head of the Democratic Party of Japan, did not make any concrete proposal on dissolving the House of Representatives, leading their talks to break down.
