Dogwood trees sent to Tokyo from U.S.
WASHINGTON, United States - James Zumwalt, U.S. deputy assistant secretary of state for Japan and Korean affairs, gives a speech during a ceremony at the National Arboretum in Washington on Oct. 22, 2012, which was held to send 3,000 dogwood trees from the United States to Japan over a three-year period as a symbol of bilateral friendship for the next 100 years, in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the donation of 3,000 cherry blossoms from Tokyo to Washington in 1912.
