Quake hits northeastern Japan
SENDAI, Japan - JR Sendai Station in Miyagi Prefecture is crowded with passengers as train services are suspended after an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 7.3 jolted northeastern and eastern Japan on Dec. 7, 2012. The Tohoku region of northeastern Japan was devastated by the March 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake and subsequent tsunami.
