Takeshima ceremony in Japan
MATSUE, Japan - Police officers control traffic near the venue in Matsue, Shimane Prefecture, western Japan, on Feb. 22, 2013, of an event to be held later in the day marking the prefectural government's "Takeshima Day." South Korea controls the pair of islets in the Sea of Japan and calls them Dokdo. Japan claims the islands, which it calls Takeshima, are part of Shimane Prefecture.
