Chinese ships converge near Senkakus

ISHIGAKI, Japan - Aerial photo taken by Kyodo News shows a Japanese fishing ship (R, bottom), the Chinese maritime surveillance vessel Haijian 66 (L) and the Japan Coast Guard patrol ship Ishigaki (C) sailing around a border area of Japan's territorial waters, near the Japan-controlled Senkaku Islands, claimed by China, in the East China Sea at 10:08 a.m. on April 23, 2013. Eight Chinese maritime surveillance vessels entered Japanese territorial waters the same day around the Senkaku Islands, the Japan Coast Guard said.
