'Make Way for Ducklings' in Kyoto
KYOTO, Japan - A duck leads 10 ducklings as the family marches toward the Kamo River from a pond near Yoboji temple in Kyoto's Sakyo Ward on June 7, 2013. According to local residents, eight years ago ducks started flying from the river to the temple pond in the spring to hatch ducklings, and return to the river about 500 meters away around June after the ducklings have grown. Policemen controlled traffic the same day to assist the family's trip, which started around 6:20 p.m. and took about an hour.
