Elpida becomes wholly owned unit of Micron
TOKYO, Japan - Yoshitaka Kinoshita, new president of Japanese chipmaker Elpida Memory Inc., speaks during a press conference in Tokyo as he took the post on July 31, 2013. Kinoshita replaced President Yukio Sakamoto as U.S. chipmaker Micron Technology Inc. said the same day it has completed the acquisition of the bankrupt Elpida Memory as its wholly owned unit.
