UENO, Japan - Japan Airlines Co. President Yoshiharu Ueki offers flowers at a cenotaph at the site of the 1985 JAL jumbo jet crash on Osutaka Ridge in the village of Ueno, Gunma Prefecture, on Aug. 12, 2013, the 28th anniversary of the accident. All but four of the 524 passengers and crew on board were killed when the Boeing 747 flying from Tokyo to Osaka crashed. It was the worst single-aircraft accident ever. (Pool photo)
