Leakage of highly radioactive water at Fukushima plant
TOKYO, Japan - Masayuki Ono (R), a Tokyo Electric Power Co. spokesman, bows in a gesture of apology at the outset of a news conference at the company's head office in Tokyo on Aug. 20, 2013. The press conference was held to announce that an estimated 300 tons of highly radioactive water have leaked from one of the water storage tanks at the crippled Fukushima Daiichi power plant, making it the worst leakage incident from such containers.
