N. Korea researcher aims to unfold Japanese remains issue

BEIJING, China - Naoki Mizuno, a Kyoto University professor, visits Pupyong in South Hamgyeong Province in eastern North Korea on Sept. 1, 2013 as part of a 10-day survey in the country to study burial sites believed to contain Japanese remains. Mizuno hopes to shed light on the issue of Japanese people who died in the northern part of the Korean Peninsula around the end of World War II and remain buried there.
