Anpanman creator Takashi Yanase dies
TOKYO, Japan - File photo shows Japanese cartoonist Takashi Yanase singing at a press conference held for his CD debut as a singer in Tokyo's Bunkyo Ward in December 2003. Yanase, the creator of "Anpanman," one of the most popular Japanese anime cartoon series for young children, died of heart failure at a Tokyo hospital on Oct. 13, 2013. He was 94.
