Chinese newspaper apologizes for publishing fake news

GUANGZHOU, China - Photo shows a front-page apology (lower left) on the Oct. 27, 2013, edition of the Xinkuaibao (New Express) newspaper based in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province. The newspaper apologized after having openly called for the release of one of its reporters, who police later said "confessed" to releasing fabricated news reports about a major Chinese company.
