Obama pardons Thanksgiving turkey

WASHINGTON, United States - U.S. President Barack Obama (2nd from R), with daughters Malia (far R) and Sasha (3rd from R) looking on, pardons a turkey named Popcorn at the White House in Washington on Nov. 27, 2013, on the eve of Thanksgiving Day, in a White House tradition under which the president saves the life of a turkey that would have been otherwise eaten as a Thanksgiving Day meal.
