TOKYO, Japan - Photo shows Jang Song Thaek, vice chairman of North Korea's National Defense Commission. Jang, widely seen as the second most powerful figure in North Korea after leader Kim Jong Un -- his nephew -- appears to have been removed from office, a South Korean lawmaker said Dec. 3, 2013.
