TOKYO, Japan - A platform of the Tokaido Shinkansen line at JR Tokyo Station in central Tokyo is flooded with travelers on Jan. 4, 2014, as they returned from their hometowns and resort areas. The peak of travelers returning from the New Year's holidays continued before Jan. 6 when most people begin work for the year.
