KANAZAWA, Japan - Teijiro Sakai (L), mayor of the city of Nomi in Ishikawa Prefecture, appoints former major leaguer and hometown hero Hideki Matsui (R) the city's tourism ambassador during a ceremony in the city on Jan. 7, 2014.
