Former Japanese army officer Onoda dies
TOKYO, Japan - File photo shows Hiroo Onoda, a former Imperial Japanese Army intelligence officer, riding a horse at his farm near Campo Grande, Brazil, in March 2012. Onoda, who continued fighting on a Philippine island for decades after Japan's surrender in World War II, died of heart failure at a Tokyo hospital on Jan. 16, 2014 at age 91.
