N. Korea celebrates birthday of late leader
PYONGYANG, North Korea - People flock to giant bronze statues of North Korea's state founder Kim Il Sung (L) and the country's second leader Kim Jong Il on Mansu Hill in Pyongyang on Feb. 16, 2014, as North Korea celebrates the birthday of Kim Jong Il. Various events took place in the capital to commemorate the anniversary, known as "the Day of the Shining Star" in North Korea.
