Computer program beats professional shogi player

TOKYO, Japan - Tatsuya Sugai, a professional player of shogi, or Japanese chess, plays against the computer program "Shuso" at Ariake Coliseum in Tokyo on March 15, 2014, with an industrial robot arm moving shogi pieces based on instructions from the program. Sugai was beaten in the first of five matches in this year's human versus computer series.
