Ex-student workers seek to preserve A-bombed factory
HIROSHIMA, Japan - A factory in Hiroshima built by the now defunct Imperial Japanese Army in 1913 to make military clothes, among other things, is pictured on March 16, 2014. Former student workers who were mobilized to work at the factory during World War II and others launched an organization the same day to seek preservation of the building that survived the 1945 atomic bombing of the western Japan city.
