China human rights lawyer tells of torture by police
BEIJING, China - Tang Jitian, a 45-year-old human rights lawyer who has spent many years concerned with the issue of China's so-called "black jails," shows injuries to his foot during an interview with Kyodo News in Beijing on April 6, 2014. Tang, who was released from prison that day, spoke about the violence he endured, including being assaulted at a police station in Heilongjiang province and being threatened with having his kidneys removed.
