World's biggest container ship anchored in Yokohama

YOKOHAMA, Japan - The 194,849-ton Marstal Maersk, the world's biggest container ship, is anchored at the Port of Yokohama on May 23, 2014, during its maiden voyage. The vessel, registered in Denmark, was completed at a South Korean shipyard on May 20.

A total of 10 sand sculptors from Japan, South Korea and China created sand sculptures featuring historic figures in the three countries and the World Heritage sites for about two weeks. Some 1,300 tons of sand used for the sculptures were carried from the Tottori Sand Dunes in western Japan.
