Rails of new Shinkansen bullet train line connected

TOYAMA, Japan - Rails of the Hokuriku Shinkansen bullet train line are finally connected in a ceremony held at West Japan Railway Co.'s Toyama Station on May 24, 2014, marking the completion of a 454-km railway link between Tokyo and Kanazawa via Toyama. The new Shinkansen line is set to open in March 2015.
