N. Korea starts working on abductees' probe
PYONGYANG, North Korea - Song Il Ho, North Korea's ambassador for talks to normalize relations with Japan, says in an interview with Kyodo News in Pyongyang on June 4, 2014, that the North has already started "responsibly" working toward setting up a special panel to investigate the whereabouts of Japanese abductees. Japan, which officially lists 17 people as having been abducted by North Korea, suspects Pyongyang's involvement in many more disappearances.
