Japan reviews 'Kono statement' on wartime sex slavery
TOKYO, Japan - Keiichi Tadaki, a former prosecutor general, holds a press conference at the Cabinet Office in Tokyo on June 20, 2014, on the results of a review on how the 1993 "Kono statement," regarding Asian women who were forced to work in Japan's wartime military brothels, was compiled. Tadaki headed a panel of experts picked by the government to conduct the review.
