Firefly found on mountain top in western Japan

TOTTORI, Japan - Luciola parvula, a species of firefly, is found by a firefly conservation organization on the peak of 1,729-meter-high Mt. Daisen, Tottori Prefecture, western Japan, on July 20, 2014. A DNA test of the firefly will be conducted as part of research on the local ecological system.
