Popular comic doll helps boost business in Toyama Pref.

TOYAMA, Japan - Children have their picture taken on a shopping street in Himi, Toyama Prefecture, central Japan, on Aug. 12, 2014, together with a doll character that appears in the popular "Ninja Hattori-kun" (Little Ninja Hattori) comic series. The city, where its author Fujiko Fujio was born, is trying to boost the number of tourists as a new "Shinkansen" bullet train line is set to open next spring.
