Astronaut Wakata honored in hometown parade
SAITAMA, Japan - Japanese astronaut Koichi Wakata, who became the first Japanese to serve as commander of the International Space Station, waves to the crowd during a parade in Saitama, his hometown located north of Tokyo, on Aug. 20, 2014. Wakata returned to earth on May 14 after staying at the ISS from November, 2013.
