S. Korea indicts Japanese journalist on defamation charges
TOKYO, Japan - File photo shows Tatsuya Kato, the Seoul bureau chief of Japan's Sankei Shimbun newspaper, appearing at a prosecutors' office in Seoul on Oct. 2, 2014, for questioning about a controversial article suspected of having defamed South Korean President Park Geun Hye. On Oct. 8, South Korean public prosecutors indicted Kato, who has since been relieved of his position as Seoul bureau chief, on defamation charges.
