Carbon fiber material for Shinkansen seats shown to press

OSAKA, Japan - Nobuya Ando, president of Toray Carbon Magic Co., shows off the firm's carbon fiber material used to cover seats on Shinkansen bullet trains during an interview with Kyodo News in Maibara, western Japan, on Oct. 10, 2014. Ando called for Central Japan Railway Co. to adopt the material for its magnetically levitated train system to be put into practical use on a maglev line to be built between Tokyo and Nagoya.
