U.S. military begins dismantling huge antenna in Japan

AOMORI, Japan - The U.S. military's aged antenna array at its Misawa Air Base in Aomori Prefecture, northeastern Japan, shown in this file photo taken in September 2012, is being dismantled. The array, nicknamed the "Elephant Cage," was used to intercept ratio transmissions during the Cold War era.
