Scottish officials check historic crane in Nagasaki

NAGASKI, Japan - Scottish government officials and experts measure by laser on Nov. 1, 2014, a large Scottish-made crane at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd.'s shipyard in Nagasaki, southwestern Japan, built in 1909. Scotland is making digital records of important cultural heritages to preserve them while Japan is seeking the historic crane's registration as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site.
