Japanese dyeing artist Shimura wins Kyoto Prize in arts

KYOTO, Japan - Fukumi Shimura, a Japanese dyeing and weaving artist, attends the award ceremony for the Kyoto Prize in Kyoto, western Japan, on Nov. 10, 2014. Shimura won this year's Kyoto Prize in Arts and Philosophy for her "artistic" creation of tsumugi kimono.
