Japanese icebreaker Shirase leaves for Antarctica

TOKYO, Japan - The Japanese icebreaker Shirase leaves Tokyo's Harumi Pier on Nov. 11, 2014, for Showa Station to assist the Antarctic research expedition, while family members of the crew see the ship off.
