Extinct Japanese wolf's tooth found

SAITAMA, Japan - A tooth believed to be that of a Japanese wolf, an extinct species on the Environment Ministry's list, is shown in Saitama north of Tokyo on Nov. 26, 2014. Rare fish run upstream in Hokkaido river to lay eggs

SAPPORO, Japan - A pair of Japanese huchen known locally as "ito," Japan's biggest freshwater fish in the salmon family, runs upstream on April 28, 2014, in a river in the northernmost prefecture of Hokkaido to lay eggs. The rare species is often called the "phantasmal fish."
