Debris removal starts in town near crippled reactors
FUTABA, Japan - Workers begin to remove debris in Futaba, Fukushima Prefecture, on Dec. 17, 2014, left by the 2011 earthquake and tsunami that hit the northeastern Japan region of Tohoku. The work is limited to part of the town as the bulk of the area is designated as a no-go zone for its proximity to the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant crippled by the disaster.
