Secom eyes unmanned security-monitoring airship in 2016

TOKYO, Japan - Secom Co. unveils in Tokyo on Dec. 24, 2014, a scale model of an unmanned surveillance airship on patrol over a sports venue with hi-tech cameras and other sophisticated gear. The security service company aims to put the airship to practical use in 2016.

MegaHouse Corp., a subsidiary of Japanese major toy maker Bandai Co., started accepting orders on its website the same day for the 3-D combination puzzle to be sold at 198,000 yen ($1,880).                 TSURU, Japan, Dec. 19 Kyodo - Photo shows a magnetically levitated train that set a world speed record of 603 kilometers per hour in a test run conducted by Central Japan Railway Co. on April 21, 2015. The test was conducted using new LO-series cars on the track between Uenohara and Fuefuki in Yamanashi Prefecture, west of Tokyo. A maglev train service will start between Tokyo's Shinagawa Station and Nagoya in 2027.
