KYOTO, Japan - Bank employees count money thrown into offertory boxes by well-wishers during the first three days of the new year on Jan. 4, 2015, at Fushimi Inari Taisha, a Shinto shrine in Kyoto, western Japan. Eight staff will tally the money over five days.
