Yuki-tsumugi weaver under training in Tochigi Pref.
UTSUNOMIYA, Japan - Akiko Imaizumi, the first weaver of the traditional Yuki-tsumugi silk weaving technique hired by the Oyama city government in Tochigi Prefecture, eastern Japan, receives instructions on using a weaving machine from traditional craftsman Noriaki Sakairi in the city on Jan. 14, 2015. The technique was added to the UNESCO intangible cultural heritage list in 2010.
