Japan should be permanent member of U.N. Security Council: Finland

TOKYO, Japan - Visiting Finnish Foreign Minister Ilkka Kanerva is in talks with new Japanese Foreign Minister Nobutaka Machimura at the Foreign Ministry on Aug. 28. Kanerva told Machimura his country is in favor of Japan becoming a permanent member of the U.N. Security Council, the Japanese Foreign Ministry said.
