Yokozuna council adopting wait-and-see stance on Asashoryu
TOKYO, Japan - Takasago, stable master of Mongolian yokozuna (grand champion) Asashoryu, speaks to reporters at Tokyo's Ryogoku Kokugikan on Aug. 31 about the wrestler's mental condition. Earlier in the day, Takasago returned to Tokyo after accompanying Asashoryu to Mongolia. Asashoryu has checked into a facility in the ancient Mongolian capital of Kharakhorin where he will receive treatment for a mental disorder.
