Dumplings may have been poisoned deliberately: China official
BEIJING, China - Wei Chuanzhong (photo), a senior Chinese quality control official, said during a meeting with Japanese food-safety officials in Beijing on Feb. 6 that Chinese-made frozen meat dumplings that made people sick in Japan may have been poisoned on purpose by those who do not wish to see good relations between the two countries. Wei is vice minister of China's General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine.
