Tomioka Silk Mill registered as World Heritage site

TOMIOKA, Japan - Tourists in Tomioka, Gunma Prefecture, receive newspaper extra editions on June 21, 2014. The editions were issued to report that the UNESCO World Heritage Committee decided to add the Tomioka Silk Mill, a historic factory building symbolizing Japan's industrialization from the 19th century, to the World Cultural Heritage list. The mill is located in Tomioka.
