STORYLINE:
A major photovoltaic project in China's Tianjin has entered the final stage of construction.
The Huadian Haijing photovoltaic project is undertaken by China Construction Third Engineering Bureau Group Co., Ltd., with an installed capacity of 1,000 megawatts.
The project aims to integrate green energy, the salt industry, fishery and tourism.
Upon the scheduled completion this March, the project is expected to generate 1.7 billion kWh on average each year, saving about 500,000 tons of standard coal and reducing 1.25 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions every year.
