Lebanese caretaker Health Minister Firas Abiad on Thursday warned against the remarkable daily increase in the number of COVID-19 cases over the past week, calling on citizens to take serious precautions to curb infections.
His remarks came during a press conference held to give an idea about the epidemic situation in Lebanon in light of the recent increase in flu cases.
Abiad said that the recent increase in COVID-19 cases was clearly due to the arrival of many expatriates during the festive season and the increase in gatherings during this period.
