Northern Japan chapel made of ice
Photo taken on Jan. 19, 2023, in Shimukappu, a village in northern Japan known for its cold temperature that can fall as low as 30 C below zero, shows the inside of a chapel where the ceiling, walls, altar and cross are all made of ice. The chapel was unveiled to the media, together with a dome-shaped hotel also made of ice at Hoshino Resorts TOMAMU, a day before its public opening.
