STORYLINE:
As China optimized its pandemic response, the southern Guangdong province also took measures to facilitate customs clearance to promote imports and exports.
As the Spring Festival draws near, demand for flowers has been rising, including tulips and roses from countries like the Netherlands and Ecuador.
To ensure the freshness of the imported flowers, the customs at Guangzhou Baiyun Intl' Airport initiated a "two-step declaration" to simplify entry procedures.
During the first two weeks of this year, 62 batches of imported fresh cut flowers cleared customs at the airport, up 60.6 percent from the same period last year.
