Goodfellow Air Force Base is located in central Texas, U.S.
The Columbia Scientific Balloon Facility was founded in 1961 in Texas, U.S.
Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico, U.S. conducted its first high-altitude balloon test in 1947.
Many of the balloons fly across the Atlantic, reaching North Africa, UK, Norway and other places.
The Alice Springs Ballooning Facility in Australia was established by NASA in the 1970s.
