"This is the Baluke Mountain Winter Pasture in Yumin County, Tacheng, Xinjiang. It is our winter home where we take care of 230 sheep, some cattle and horses."
Kazakh herders in northwest China's Xinjiang migrate between pastures throughout the year.
For nomadic Kazakhs in Yumin County, migration begins in October. They drive livestock to Baluke Mountain Winter Pasture and settle here until the end of March.
